Mark Hoblit
SPDD — Structured Prompt Driven Developer
I started programming in BASIC on an Atari 800XL, and my work has grown through database programming, hosting, web automation, application development, embedded programming, and interoperability. I love math, and I use structured prompts to turn ideas into software I can verify.

Human judgment. Mathematical tools.

MY STORY I started on an Atari 800XL using BASIC. In the late 1980s, one of my early programs monitored the phone line and paged me when someone left a message on my voicemail machine. In the early 1990s, I worked on ROX, a card game for MajorBBS, and moved into database programming. As the internet grew, I registered my own domain and hosted my own servers. I later worked for a local hosting company and spent more than a decade in hosting-related work. My subsequent work has included web automation, application development, embedded programming and interoperability. I live in the Western North Carolina mountains and love mathematics. My current approach to building software includes Structured Prompt-Driven Development. EXPERIENCE Netsmart — Senior Software Engineer March 2021 – December 2024 Interoperability programming.
